If you had told Willow even a short few days ago that she would be waiting at JFK near baggage claim waiting for Faith Lahane, she would have thought that you were crazy. Now that wasn't to say that Willow was one to completely ignore the development that Faith had gone through in those final months in Sunnydale, to do so would be unfair. But they'd never been what one would call close. But emergencies made strange bedfellows and Willow was grateful that Faith was able to answer the call she'd made from New Orleans, giving herself time to finish up or at least put a pin in everything that needed doing down there, and Faith was given the opportunity to travel mundanely. Though if she was waiting here much longer Willow was going to start to wish she could just go back in time and pick Faith up from Europe instead via magic.

But she needed to be careful, she was going to be swinging a lot of heavy magic around between curse breaking and throwing wide the doors to Hell without letting anything else manage to slip through unnoticed. That was one of the reasons that together her and Giles had decided that Faith would be a good addition to this little team. If anything could track a Slayer in a hell dimension via magic, it would be another Slayer, like calling to like as it were. Hell they'd even spent time in one another's bodies for a time for Gaia's sake! If anyone was going to be a huge benefit to this cause, it was going to be Faith.

Impulsively as her green eyes scanned the crowd, Willow wondered if she should have made a sign with Faith's name on it, given how crowded it was getting, but then it wasn't as if they hadn't seen each other within the last year or so, Willow was pretty sure that neither of them had changed so much that they would be unrecognizable. Things were finally coming together and maybe that was where the tummy rumblings came in, that Willow was just terrified that she wouldn't be able to pull off what Giles had been trying and failing at for months.

As soon as her eyes fell on the brunette, Willow was on the move, already questioning about her flight, how she was feeling, how the flight had gone, everything that she could think of that was almost exclusively un-supernatual at all until they were able to get a little further away from potentially prying ears.

@Faith - Welcome to New York!

The truth of the matter was, Faith was damn glad to be on the move again. She had been holding down the fort in London for too long and she had started to get restless. Bored and restless was a bad combination for Faith so, getting the call to come to New York was a welcome thing.

Faith knew some of what was going on, she had been in contact with Giles. She knew that Buffy was on some top-secret mission and that Giles had needed to stay in New York to be close to her. What exactly Buffy was doing, Faith didn't know those details. It had been going on a long time though and when Willow finally contacted her to say they needed help, Faith thought it was about damn time.

Still, Willow had been fairly tight-lipped on the details and in the end, Faith didn't really need them. All she knew was that she was getting back in action, some real action of some kind and that got her adrenaline pumping. She had packed up and was out of there on the first flight she could get to New York.

At first Faith had been happy about flying back to the States via a good old fashion airplane. After more than eight hours cooped up inside the plane for the trip, she was thinking she might have to reconsider that teleporting thing Willow could do. It still kind of freaked her out, but those long plane rides were not fun when you had a toddler kicking the back of your seat the whole time.

None of that mattered now though as she had arrived. Walking through the airport Faith took long strides and inwardly rejoiced at how it felt to stretch her legs. As she got closer to the baggage claim area where she was to meet Willow, Faith kept her head moving from side to side and her eyes scanning for the familiar redhead.

They seemed to have spotted each other at nearly the same time and in a matter of moments Faith found herself being peppered with questions from the other young woman. "Whoa, whoa, slow down there, Red. I'm good. Legs are a little cramped, but nothing some ass kicking won't cure. Other than that, everything is five by five." Faith gave a shrug as if her arrival and seeing Willow was not that big of a deal. Though she couldn't help the small smile on her face that might belie the fact that she was actually happy to see her.

"There is going to be some ass-kicking involved, right?" Faith smirked and tipped her head in the direction of the main exit. "Come on, let's get out of here. This is all I got..." The brunette held up the small duffel bag and shifted to show the backpack strapped to her shoulders. "No need to wait around for anything. We can talk while we walk."

Willow would have been 100% lying if she'd said that she wasn't a little on edge about this whole endeavor. A lot of it was fueled by guilt, but the other part was wholly nerves. If they messed any part of this up, they could be in a much worse situation than they were already in. Someone else could get stuck in Hell along with Buffy and Anya, or something could happen that neither of them could get through, or alls the worse only one of them would be able to get through and they'd have to do one of those things where they'd need to make an impossible choice and someone would still need to stuck in Hell but this time they'd be all alone without the benefit of company-

The slight Southie accent cut through the witch's thoughts even as well as it cut down on her mundane babbling. Even as her brain worried over one set of a million things, her mouth had started going off on a completely separate tirade all at the same time. But for all their differences, parts of Faith were exactly the same, the most important right now being that she was nearly unflappable, which was a stark contrast to Willow's very flappable self.

"Yeah, potentially a whole lot of ass-kicking." Willow agreed, grateful that they didn't need to fight their way through to baggage check and just stand around and wait for Faith's luggage. She should have known that the brunette Slayer would have travelled light, but Willow was in the mode where if she could consider a way that would take even longer, she assumed that that was the way it was going to play out.

Which was a horrible thing to put out into the universe.

Headed out front, Willow looked around and found them the place to wait and catch a cab. It took thankfully not a lot of effort to get a cab at an airport and sooner rather than later they were seated in the back seat of one of New York's finest yellow cabs. After giving him the address for Giles', Willow muttered a very soft charm under her breath and it created a very subtle sheen between the front seat and the back.

"There, he won't be able to really hear us now. I'm sorry I couldn't really be too specific before I asked you to pack up and come all the way here, but we're kinda on a time crunch now." Willow sighed slightly and let her eyes fall closed before she looked over at the other Slayer. She'd been going non-stop now since she'd gotten back from the other dimension she'd been 'vacationing' in but she wasn't letting it slow her down just yet.

"Long story very short, Buffy sent her soul down into Hell with Giles' help to go down and get Anya because she's where she ended up after Sunnydale and Buffy didn't think that was right. But something happened and she's gotten stuck, they're both stuck. So, what Giles' and I guess is that we're sending at least one other person down after them in order to help break them back out. We thought of you because we may be able to use the Slayer bond to help pinpoint where Buffy is." And along with Buffy, Anya. Willow had no doubt that Buffy had been able to find the demon, she knew that if it was possible for them to be together, they would be.

Faith Lehane - So I'm sending you to Hell.
